It’s set out there on some hills just east of Austin, right near a big ol’ lake. It’s easy to get to, just head over Decker Lane, and you’ll find it! Oh, and don’t go missin’ it – you won’t find anything like it around these parts!
This here course has 18 holes, so it’s a good stretch for your legs. Now, you might be wonderin’ what the par is and all that fancy talk, well let me put it plain: it’s a 72 par course, and it stretches out about 6,503 yards. Might sound long, but trust me, once you’re out there, you’ll get used to it quick. They say the green fees are pretty cheap too – just about $9.00 to get in, which is a bargain if you ask me. What can you do with $9? Not much these days, but at Bluebonnet, it’ll get you a round o’ golf!
Now, the greens… oh, they are real nice, let me tell ya. Folks around here love ’em. They say it’s one of the reasons they keep comin’ back, no matter how hot it gets in the summer. Always nice and well kept, not like some of those other courses where you feel like you’re hittin’ a ball in a hayfield.
