Alright, so you wanna know about them Beaumont police codes, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t rocket science. It’s just a bunch of numbers and words they use so they can talk to each other without everyone understandin’ what they’re sayin’. Keeps things kinda private-like, ya know?
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I’ve heard things. Folks talk, and you pick stuff up. Like, they got these “10 codes,” see? Stuff like “10-4,” that means okay. Everyone knows that one, even me. Heard it on the TV a bunch of times. Then there’s “10-20”, that means location, I think. They use it to say where they are. Like, “10-20 Main Street,” means they’re on Main Street. Simple as that.
But it ain’t all just numbers. Sometimes they use plain words too. Like, if they say “Code Red,” that usually means somethin’ bad. Heard they use that in hospitals too, when there’s a fire or somethin’. So, if you hear “Code Red” on the police scanner, somethin’s up. Could be a fire, could be a fight, could be somethin’ worse. Best to stay outta the way, that’s what I say.
I also heard them Beaumont police fellas, they work with the community. Try to keep things safe, you know? They got these rules and regulations, set by the city council, I reckon. Keeps folks in line. And they got these folks called “Community Peace Officers”. They enforce them rules, like, traffic stuff and such. Don’t wanna be speedin’ around Beaumont, that’s for sure. They’ll catch ya.
- 10-4: Means okay. Like, “Roger that” or “I understand.”
- 10-20: Means location. Where somethin’ is happening.
- Code Red: Means somethin’ bad’s happening. Could be a fire, could be an emergency.
Now, I ain’t sure if all them codes they use in Beaumont are the same everywhere else. I heard them Ontario folks got their own codes. And them California folks, they do things a little different too. But I guess the important thing is the police understand each other, no matter where they are.
They got this big ol’ book, I heard. Full of codes and procedures and stuff. The Beaumont Municipal Code, they call it. I ain’t never seen it myself, but I bet it’s thick as a brick. That’s where they get all these rules from. And the police chief, he’s got his own set of rules too, I guess. Values and conduct, they call it. Supposed to keep the police honest, you know?
And another thing, they work with folks to prevent crime. Like, they tell ya to lock your doors, keep an eye on your neighbors, that sort of thing. Common sense stuff, really. But it helps. Keeps the bad guys away, or at least makes it harder for them. They call it “neighborhood crime prevention” or somethin’ fancy like that.
So, there ya have it. That’s about all I know about them Beaumont police codes. It ain’t much, but it’s enough for an old woman like me. Just remember, if you hear somethin’ on the scanner you don’t understand, it’s probably police talk. And if it sounds serious, it probably is. Just stay outta the way and let them do their job. That’s what I always say.
Now, you be careful out there, ya hear? The world’s a crazy place, and you never know what’s gonna happen. But at least in Beaumont, we got them police, tryin’ to keep us safe. And that’s somethin’ to be thankful for, I reckon.
Beaumont police department values are important too. They gotta be honest and fair, and treat everyone with respect. At least, that’s what they’re supposed to do. Nobody’s perfect, but we gotta hold them accountable, that’s what I think. They work for us, after all.
Anyway, I hope that helps ya understand them codes a little better. Like I said, I ain’t no expert, but I know a thing or two. Just keep your ears open and your eyes peeled, and you’ll be alright.
