Now, don’t go thinkin’ that means Beryl wasn’t serious. Down around the coast, Beryl was a real troublemaker. Folks in Houston and other places like Montgomery County were hit hard. They lost power, had floodin’ all over the place, and even some folks lost their lives. It’s just a real sad thing when a storm like that comes rollin’ through. Reports said about 42 people died in Texas ’cause of the storm. Some from the wind, some from drownin’ in floodwaters. It was a mess.
As for Cedar Park, well, I don’t think they saw much of that kind of devastation. People there probably got some rain and wind, but nothing too crazy. I reckon they mighta had some folks with their power knocked out for a bit, but nothin’ like the chaos in Houston.
