Well, a whole load of results popped up. Some fan pages, some trivia sites, the usual mix. And here’s where it got a bit fuzzy. Some places confidently said blue. Others were just as sure they were hazel. I even saw a couple that just vaguely put "light-colored." Real helpful, that one. It’s like asking what flavor ice cream someone likes and they just say "cold."
My Deep Dive (Sort Of)
Okay, so "deep dive" might be a strong word, but I did spend a few more minutes on it than I probably should have. I started actually looking at pictures. You know, not just relying on what some website said. I pulled up red carpet photos, stills from Malcolm in the Middle (totally different vibe, same eyes, supposedly!), and of course, more Breaking Bad screenshots.
And you know what? I can see why there’s confusion. In some lights, especially those bright studio lights or outdoor shots, they definitely look blue. Like, a clear, light blue. But then in other photos, especially indoor ones or where the lighting is a bit moodier, you can see more green and even a touch of light brown in there, particularly around the pupil. That’s classic hazel territory, isn't it?
It reminds me of my old art teacher, Mrs. Davison. She used to say that color is all about perception and light. What looks one way in the morning sun can look totally different under a fluorescent bulb. Guess it’s the same with eyes. Especially those chameleon-like hazel ones.

So, I told Dave they're likely hazel, but sometimes appear blue. We called it a draw, mostly because the pizza arrived.
